Skills Premier is proud to introduce the Evolving Stylist Level 3 full time Hairdressing training programme, in partnership with Pivot Point. As an established training provider, we aim to deliver programmes that align with the needs and expectations of the hairdressing industry.

You’ll get access to the Pivot Point LAB online platform during your programme, offering top-quality learning anytime, 24/7. The content is tailored to your needs and regularly updated to keep up with industry trends, giving you the best learning experience possible.

Overview

This programme has been designed for aspiring hairdressers and will provide you with foundational knowledge and practical skills.

Learners will master essential techniques that include, blow drying, basic colour work, cutting and setting. Additionally, to develop enhanced communication skills, learners will perform client consultations to effectively monitor health and safety practices and enable collaboration with peers and professionalism.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to enter the hairdressing industry as an Assistant or Work Based Training Learner, and can enrol into our Work Based Training Programme for New Zealand Certificate in Professional Stylist (Level 4).

Course Hours

Full time, 34 Weeks + term breaks
Monday to Friday

Campus Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 9am – 2.30pm
Self-Directed Learning (SDL)*: Monday and after 2.30pm the rest of the week

*What is Self-Directed Learning (SDL)?
SDL takes place Mondays and after 2.30pm the rest of the week. You will be in control of when you do this and what learning you complete during this time. Your Tutor may recommend you complete certain tasks during this time.

Eligibility

To be eligible for our Level 3 programme, you must:

  • Be a New Zealand citizen, or have 3 or more years permanent residence in New Zealand
  •  Workplace communication skills
  • A passion and desire to be working in the hairdressing industry
  • Age 16 years or higher (or 15 with MOE exemption is granted)
  • A positive attitude and commitment to complete the course.
