Skills Premier is proud to introduce the blended Level 3 Hairdressing (Evolving Stylist) course. As an established training provider, we aim to deliver courses that align with the needs and expectations of the hairdressing industry.

To meet individual learning requirements we offer online, self directed and face to face support, while the learner is employed. To add an extra level of flexibility trainees also have 24/7 access to the Pivot Point LAB online digital platform to cement learnings.

Overview

Our Hairdressing (Evolving Stylist) Level 3 course is designed to be flexible to empower individuals to earn qualifications while working; to enable them to independently deliver salon and client services; and to foster professional growth and expertise.

Through a Blended Learning format trainees will receive face-to-face, workplace and Online training.

Trainees will master essential techniques that include, blow drying, basic colour work, cutting and setting. Additionally, to develop enhanced communication skills, trainees will perform client consultations to effectively monitor health and safety practices and enable collaboration with peers and professionalism.

Student fees will be held in trust in compliance with Section 236A of the Education Act 1989 as amended by the Education Act (No4) 199

Part time, 52 Weeks + term breaks

Runs on Mondays
10 face-to-face sessions
(5 delivery, 5 assessment)
4 online sessions

*Sessions are not on consecutive Mondays and will be spread throughout the year

Eligibility

To be eligible for our Level 3 course, you must:

Be a New Zealand citizen, or have 3 or more years permanent residence in New Zealand
Must be employed in a hairdressing salon a minimum of 20 hours
Workplace communication skills
A passion and desire to be working in the hairdressing industry
Age 16 years or higher (or 15 with MOE exemption is granted)
A positive attitude and commitment to complete the course.
