Are you aged between 16 – 24 years and interested in Hairdressing, Barbering, Nail Technology, Make-Up and Skin Care? This course is FREE with the use of resources and equipment and your travel costs are paid. At Skills Premier we teach our students hands-on practical skills that will help you gain a career in your chosen pathway.
This programme will prepare school leavers, young people and/or those with no formal qualifications, who are creative and enjoy working with people to gain skills, knowledge and personal qualities to succeed in further tertiary education or employment in the areas of Hairdressing, Barbering, Nail Technology, or Make-Up and Skin Care.
During your time of study you will learn about communication skills, customer service skills and working in a team. You will also gain essential computer and academic literacy skills, and learn personal budgeting and financial planning.
You will have the opportunity to enrol in different courses or one course that takes in all the different trades.
Start your exciting journey by studying at Skills Premier. The Certificate in Foundation Skills (Level 2) shares essential knowledge and skills needed in a salon workplace. You will experience what it’s like to work in a salon and understand the dynamics and procedures of how it functions.
